The world is full of unique places, and some of the most isolated homes are located in some of the most remote corners of our planet.
We will see the next Most Isolated Houses in the World.
These houses were built in places to escape the bustle of the city or just a place to experience true solitude.
These isolated houses will give you the peace and tranquility you are looking for.
1- The House of Penedo
My First Isolated House in the World is the House of Penedo.
Is between Celorico de Basto and Fafe, in the North Region of Portugal.
owing its name to the fact that it was built between four large rocks that integrate the very structure of the house
Casa do Penedo is completely integrated into its surrounding countryside. Its construction is entirely made of rock, except for the doors, windows, and roof.
The interior also has a rustic style, where the furniture, stairs, and handrails are made of logs.
The sofa, designed in a rustic style, is made of concrete and eucalyptus wood and weighs 350 kg.
Making this house a place to visit and which has aroused the curiosity of many tourists around the world, given its originality and beauty.
It does not have any electrical installation.
2- Cliff House
Second Isolated Houses in the World, a five-story modular home clings to the side of a cliff in this conceptual design by Modscape.
Entitled the Cliff House, the modular design is a theoretical response to clients who have approached Modscape to explore design options for building modular homes in Australia.
Inspired by the way barnacles cling to the hull of a ship, a concept was developed for a modular home to hang off the side of a cliff as opposed to sitting on top of it.
The home is visualized as a natural extension of the cliff face rather than an addition to the landscape, creating an absolute connection with the ocean.
3-Vestmannaeyjar
Vestmannaeyjar (literally, “Western Man’s Islands”), also known as the Vestmann Islands, is a small archipelago off the south coast of Iceland, very close to the Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss waterfalls.
This group of fifteen islands and islets was formed approximately 11,000 years ago, except for one of them: Surstey.
This island in the south of the archipelago originated only a few decades ago, in 1963, when it emerged from the sea due to an underwater volcanic eruption.
Vestmannaeyjar has become one of the most popular places on the south coast of Iceland for two reasons: its interesting volcanic origin and the millions of puffins that nest among the cliffs.
4- House Malaparte
House Malaparte, built in 1938 by the rationalist architect Adalberto Libera, in Punta Massullo on the Isle of Capri, Italy, is considered one of the most iconic examples of modern Italian architecture.
The residence, a rectangular red block cut by a rooftop staircase, is built into a cliff, 32 meters above the Gulf of Salerno. It is completely isolated from civilization, accessible only by boat or on foot.
The house was commissioned by Curzio Malaparte, whose eccentric character led him to take complete ownership of the creative design process, which resulted in friction with Libera.
For Malaparte, the house should reflect its character, becoming a place for solitary writing and contemplation.
He once described the owner: “I now live on an island, in an austere and melancholy house, which was built on a lonely cliff above the sea. The image of my longing.”
5- Paro Taktsang
This is not a house Most Isolated Houses in the World.
But a Taktsang Monastery or Paro Taktsang is one of the most famous monasteries in Bhutan.
It was built in 1692 at the mouth of the Taktsang Senge Samdup cave where the Buddhist saint Guru Padmasambhava is said to have meditated back in the 800s CE.
This monastery situated at an altitude of 3,120 meters is one of thirteen Taktsang caves or so-called tiger’s nest” where Saint Padmasambhava would have meditated in his day.
The name Taktsang means the tiger’s nest. Since, says the ancient legend, the saint Padmasambhava miraculously flew there riding on the back of a fabulous tiger.
